Birthday and other Private Events
I will bring a book with several designs for your guests to choose from. If there is something special you want, or if your party has a theme, please let me know in advance so I can prepare for it. I can make 20-30 simple 1-2 balloon creations in an hour, 10-15 more complex creations.
I twist for events lasting four hours or less (2017). Available weeknights and weekends.
Don't want a live twister? No problem. I can pre-make balloon party favors for your guests, and even deliver them. Contact me for details.
Want more than a twister? How does a balloon-themed party sound? I can teach older kids how to make simple balloon animals, lead a variety of balloon games, show a few science experiments involving balloons, and/or even build a fun house out of sturdy, mega-sized balloons. Balloons are so fun! This option is available with two-hour bookings.
Restaurants and Storefront Settings
Do you want to make your customers *extra* happy with their dining experience? Do you want to know how to attract families to fill your tables on your slow nights? That's where I come in! For $65 an hour (2017 prices, will negotiate a lower price for regular work), I will come during your peak evening time and make balloons for the kids at your restaurant! I can go table to table, or do line work, whichever is best for you. I'll be happy to give you a free hour to give you a chance to see how your customers react to my balloons.
Here are a few benefits to having a twister at your restaurant:
- Guests are entertained while they wait for their meal, even if the kitchen staff are overwhelmed. Having a balloon lessens their perceived wait time, especially for children.
- Balloons can ease tensions when a customer is unhappy. It's cheaper for the twister to make this guest something extra special than to offer free drinks or gift cards to remedy the situation.
- Customers are more likely to choose you over a competitor if their kid gets a free balloon.
- Having a twister come weekly on your slow night will turn it into a busier night as the word gets out that there are free balloons.
- On the other hand, having a twister on your existing kids night will make the event more memorable. Seeing their balloon at home will remind them to come back!
Bonus! I do NOT solicit tips. If the parents want to tip me, I will tell them that the service has been paid for by the management (See how wonderful you are?!) . This helps avoid the awkwardness felt by parents when their child sees and wants a balloon, the parent doesn't really want to buy one, but feels obligated because they are on a special night out and the child really WANTS one.
In the meantime, how much should they tip? Parents in my circles have told me while they are happy to have the balloon experience, they often feel like they are strong armed into paying for them in dining settings. Some people will avoid coming back altogether after this situation. Yikes!
When the management pays the twister (think advertising budget!), I get to focus on making everyone happy, the parents get to relax and enjoy the evening, and the kids go home with an awesome balloon to play with. Parents will be happy about their visit, happier about the free balloons, more likely to share on social media, and best of all, more likely to COME BACK! Win-win-win!
Complexity of balloon structures will depend on how busy the restaurant is. If things are slow, I'll make something extra special for your guests. If there is a crowd, I'll be speed-twisting simple creations chosen from a menu board. While I hope to focus my efforts on children, I will be happy to make balloons for adults too.
Book now while I've got openings. I'm especially looking for regular restaurant work, with shifts up to two hours, so pick a night!

If you would like to book an event, please contact me first to assure there are no scheduling conflicts and we can make sure we are on the same page.
Once we have cleared the date, you can reserve your spot with a $10 deposit fee. This fee will be counted towards the total bill. It can be refunded up to 24 hours before the event.
